The Indonesian Blockchain Association and Crypto Asset Traders will be hosting Crypto Literacy Month 2024 (BLK – Bulan Literasi Kripto) throughout May. The main goal of this event is to provide a broader understanding of blockchain technology and crypto assets, with the aim of fostering financial inclusion for the Indonesian population.
Under the overarching theme “Exploring the Crypto World: Building an Inclusive Digital Financial Future,” Crypto Literacy Month 2024 (CLM) invites the Indonesian community to delve deeper into the world of crypto and participate in shaping an inclusive digital financial future.
According to Robby, Chairman of the Indonesian Blockchain Association and Crypto Asset Traders, CLM represents a crucial momentum in the development of blockchain technology innovation and its ecosystem. “The high interest in crypto assets in Indonesia can drive the birth of more innovations for an inclusive and empowering financial future,” he said.
The series of Crypto Literacy Month (CLM) events will commence with the Opening Ceremony on May 2, 2024. This event will be attended by the Minister of Trade of the Republic of Indonesia, the Chairman of the Financial Services Authority Board of Commissioners, and several exclusive guests. The CLM opening will feature panel discussions with experts and crypto industry regulators discussing the development of the crypto industry and its relevance to Indonesia’s Golden Vision 2024.
Subsequently, CLM will continue its Roadshow series from May 6 to May 29, 2024, visiting three major cities: Bandung, Yogyakarta, and Surabaya. The Roadshow will focus on the latest trends in the crypto and blockchain world for 2024. Communities and businesses in the crypto and blockchain field with scheduled activities on those dates can register their events as part of the Crypto Literacy Month series.
Steven Suhadi, Vice Chairman of Literacy & Education of the Indonesian Blockchain Association and Crypto Asset Traders, added, “CLM is an opportunity for the Indonesian community to deepen their understanding of the complexities of blockchain and crypto assets, empowering individuals with knowledge to make informed decisions in this rapidly evolving digital economy era. Our initiative is not just about education but also about moving towards financial inclusion and technological empowerment throughout Indonesia.”
The closing event will be open to the public and held on May 30, 2024, at Menara Imperium. The discussion at the closing event, themed “Gen Z Talks on Crypto,” will explore crypto asset investment and blockchain technology developments from the perspective of Generation Z, featuring practitioners and educators from the crypto and financial industries.
